Zelda WiiU dev talks about game

Recently a dev of WiiU shed some light on the new Zelda game. Actually shed of light is kind of overstating it, he didn’t really say much about it. But that it should be new and good I suppose.

Edit: Oh, also that it is almost done but still no release date.

It’s Pokmon vs. Pokmon as players take direct control of Pokmon fighters like Pikachu, Charizard and Lucario to battle it out in beautiful HD in the Pokkn Tournament game, now available for the Wii U console. Developed in collaboration with BANDAI NAMCO, the creators of the acclaimed Tekken fighting series, Pokkn Tournament employs multiple move sets and abilities for each character, offering hard-core fighting game fans and people new to the genre the chance to master the game.

Quote:

"Pokkn Tournament will appeal to Pokmon fans, fighting game players and even casual gamers looking for an action-packed game," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "It’s another example of the unique experiences players can only get on Nintendo systems."

Each Pokmon in the game – 16 total fighters in all! – possesses unique moves (composed of weak, strong and special attacks) that are specific to that character. Pikachu, for example, can use Thunder, which strikes down opponents with a bolt of electricity, while Lucario unleashes his patented Aura Sphere, enveloping fighters in energy. Playing as a Pokmon and performing these special moves is both satisfying and a dream come true for lifelong Pokmon fans. In addition to the main 16 playable Pokmon, 30 additional Pokmon can be called upon to support the player in battle. These support Pokmon include some beloved characters like Diglett and Magneton, and can turn the tide of battle by temporarily helping when called.

In the game’s fun single-player mode, players can level up a Pokmon’s stats like Attack and Defense as they battle other fighters in various leagues. Players can even personalize their trainer card with their preferred Pokmon fighter, customized clothing for their avatar and an online greeting. This online greeting will be used when battling other Pokkn Tournament players in the game’s online mode.* In addition to playing online, players can battle friends and family members in local multiplayer matches. When playing local multiplayer, one player plays on the Wii U GamePad controller, while the other uses the TV screen and either a Wii U Pro Controller, Classic Controller or the Pokkn controller (sold separately).

Pokkn Tournament also includes amiibo support. Tapping any amiibo figure or card (sold separately) will unlock items in the game. As a bonus, players who purchase the physical version of the game at launch will receive a Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card bundled with the game. When used, this special card instantly unlocks Shadow Mewtwo as a playable character.

Pokkn Tournament is now available at a suggested retail price of $59.99, and can be purchased in stores, in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U and at Nintendo.com. For more information about the game, visit http://www.pokkentournament.com.

Remember that Wii U features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access. For more information about this and other features, visit http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu.

* Internet access is required for online play. For more info, go to support.nintendo.com.

So are you going to join in the fun of training your Pokemon and battling it out with friends and family and online strangers?

[Released] Cemu v1.2.0 – Wii U

Cemu v1.2.0

View File

Exzap has updated his Wii U Emulator in this Boxing Day release, here is a quote of the changes:

Cemu v1.2.0

  Quote
  • Added basic audio support
  • Added support for GX2 stencil buffers
  • Improved controller options
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and small improvements

and here is a quote from the developers thread on GBATemp:

  Quote

The addition of sound marks this release as another milestone release (hence v1.2.0 instead of 1.1.3).
Btw. a little warning, the new sound emulation is still lacking some key features and therefore certain games will have stuttery sound or loud noises. For that reason the default volume is very low and you might need to turn it up to hear anything.

Here are some videos showing this update in action:

Hykem On Wii U Hack

@Hykem has revealed some information on an upcoming Wii U release/exploit, here is a quote from his post on GBATemp:

Hykem On Wii U Hack

The following statements are facts:
– I have successfully compromised the Wii U’s IOSU;
– The exploit being used works from 2.0.0 up to 5.5.0, but it obviously needs to be ported for each firmware;
– The exploit doesn’t need PPC kernel access, so the new kernel exploit won’t have to be released.

I want to do some kind of Christmas surprise yes, but take that with a grain of salt. I can’t promise I will have the time to get everything ready by then and I’m not disclosing what will be released.

Keep in mind that releasing the exploit “as-is” is pointless, so it will have to be ported first and most likely obfuscated so it will take a little longer to patch. It’s also worth noting that I will have to develop an easy way to block updates so no one updates past 5.5.0 by accident.

DEADPOOL (its our game!) is out now on XB1 / PS4

(Its a haiku, you philistines)

Wow. Cant believe the day is finally here. Deadpool, released for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. And did I mention its a HO-HO-HOLIDAY B-B-BUNDLE!?! See inside for link to launch trailer.

So the comical game Deadpool has leap from the old consoles to the new generation finally, and its available right now for XB1 & PS4.

Quote:

Wow. Can’t believe the day is finally here. Deadpool – MY thrilling/exciting/soul-uplifting third-person action game from YOURS TRULY…and Activision Publishing, Inc. and Marvel Entertainment might have had something to do with it, but enough about them – is out now for the PlayStation4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One. (OUR LITTLE BABY’S ALL GROWN UP!) (maybe now we can take that vacation to hike the Inca trail like we’d always planned).

And did I mention it’s a HO-HO-HOLIDAY B-B-BUNDLE!?! That’s right, since the holidays are apparently upon us (we wouldn’t know, we only celebrate Lyndon Baines Johnson Day) (he married a bird!), your purchase of Deadpool comes rolled up in all kinds of goodies:

  • Deadpool, which, as we’ve established, is a video game and is very good and nice.
  • All of the DLC (i loved that band!) for Deadpool, including:

  • Two bonus challenge maps: "GRT Plaza" and "Inside the Tower."
  • The Uncanny X-Force and D-Pooly suits for looking gooooood in Infinite Mode.
  • My respect (no cash value, may not be redeemed in Europe or anywhere else for that matter).

And oh my ME (the only higher power we recognize), the FEATURES, you guys: a top cut of gun-and-katana-seared action, drizzled with an aioli (it’s just flavoured mayonnaise!) of manic sass and quips. And mutant powers? Uhhhh, YEA. We got mutant powers. Turbo-healing factor and teleportation much?

Deadpool can be obtained at this exact moment on the PlayStation4 system and Xbox One in Europe. And just like a good cabernet, it’s rated PEGI 18. Now, let’s toss it over to the "REAL" heroes: corporations!

So are you going to grab this game, and sit down and enjoy some off-the-wall humor before the holidays start?
