A man who is very well known on this site and many others for creating the ultimate multifunction tool for your PS3, Deank, has released a couple of updates here on PSX-SCENE for his multiMAN v2.04.00. The latest updates include the introduction of Wallpaper support for multiMAN, as well as Dev_Flash support via the already included file manager, or already interlaced FTP. If you want a FULL release, you will have to wait for now.
multiMAN ver 02.04.00 UPDATE (20110822-211700):
Added “Set as Wallpaper” option when you press [TRIANGLE] in photo column

Also added:

* UPDATE (Showtime) when “Start Showtime” is selected in VIDEO column (initiates download of SHOWTIME.SELF)
* REFRESH: to refresh content for PHOTO, MUSIC and RETRO columns
* FILE MANAGER: to open the folder of the selected entry (picture, music, video, rom) in File Manager

The update is available online (to update from your PS3 in multiMAN DEBUG mode – by holding L2+R2 at startup -> UPDATE)

There are two new labels for language files (translators attention):

Set as Wallpaper
Restore Wallpaper

multiMAN ver 02.04.00 UPDATE (20110824-152900):

A quick update:

* Added: Option in XMMB Settings column: [Write access to /dev_flash via /dev_blind]

It means that you can enable write access to /dev_flash (using /dev_blind mount point) and manipulate its contents via FTP or File Manager mode. I used it to replace the .sprx files to disable Cinavia Protection (works!).

Cinavia files for 3.55: HERE
Cinavia files for 3.41: HERE

Files must be replaced in /dev_blind/vsh/module/ using either FTP or file manager mode in multiMAN. Actually it is quite easy to create a small standalone installer to do that, I wonder why no one did it.

Please use Dev_Flash support responsibly, as it can cause technical errors to your PS3 console that you have to fix via the Recovery Menu or Factory/Service Mode, so use with caution!

Of course – when altering /dev_flash – ALWAYS CREATE A BACKUP of the files first – or better – create a full backup of all 3: /dev_flash /dev_flash2 and /dev_flash3 and keep them safe.

About Cinavia and these files: I tested it and it worked – that is of course without avchd/blu-ray as already mentioned numerous times. The files were provided by a user on this forum I think (I got them from one of the links in a post by bitsbubba).
